We cordially invite You for the 9th time to be part of the International Conference of Consumer Electronics in Berlin ( “ICCE-Berlin”). ICCE-Berlin is part of the IFA fair, the leading trade show for Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances. In Berlin, a birthplace of consumer electronics, is one of Europe’s most exciting cultural centres and a vibrant city.

The Place Where Visions Start, the Place Where Visions Materialize!

The conference brings together researchers and engineers from industry, research centres, and academia to exchange information and results of recent work on systems, circuits, technologies, processes, and applications. In addition, it provides an excellent forum for the researchers, developers, and service providers to share their ideas, designs and experiences in such a proper environment as the IFA (https://www.ifa-berlin.com/).

And as the forum that follows and brings changes, we have to announce a new change in the name – “electronics” becomes “technologies”.

We invite you to be a part of this diverse community, to be at the source of future trends and to brainstorm, network, and help visions hit the road to reality!

This year again the IEEE CE Society, soon to be Consumer Technologies Society, is joining forces with other IEEE societies, VDE, and IFA to broaden and strengthen the CT subjects and scope of the conference. The conference will continue tradition of the world’s leading experts giving keynote speeches, high quality tutorials, panel discussions, workshops, tutorials, and products and prototype demonstration, social events, and fun. We are preparing a galore of surprises, which we will gradually reveal as the date draws closer, so bookmark this page and visit often.

We are in final count-down for the ICCE-Berlin. As the date draws closer, we get more excited! Here you will find updated information.

      1. Venue: CityCube @ IFA, floor minus 1 - ICCE-Berlin is part of IFA. This means that you need to go to Berlin Messe. You will find detailed instructions how to get to the venue building in Venue Guide.

      2. Program - see the menu on top.

      3. Gala Dinner - Seehof hotel. Detailed instructions in Venue Guide.

      4. Registration - Authors - through link "registration". This registration includes all material and gala dinner. This registration is mandatory for the authors which want their papers to be included in submission to IEEE Xplore, which is subject to IEEE policy. Note that participants/visitors can also register through IFA website (https://csg-ifa.shop.secutix.com/list/otherProducts), however, be advised that gala dinner and some materials are not included in IFA registration site.

Boundaries between disciplines are breached and CE is a perfect example of multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and cross-technology work in action. Papers and presentations presenting a technology which can be utilized in the consumer context, therefore being an enabler. In addition, topic covers practices of development, project management and organizational aspects when designing and deploying technologies.

Device Technologies

Papers and presentations presenting devices which are to be used or leased by consumers. Devices shall have a clear consumer use case in mind (to the likes of smart phone, TV, STB, radio, home automation equipment etc).

AI, DL & Big data

Papers and presentations on artificial intelligence solutions, helped by big data mining technologies, which help develop new intelligent use cases for consumers.

Emerging Technologies & other

All technologies that can be in the root of future technologies, such as Quantum Computing, for example, or social implications of the technologies.

Connected Consumers in a Digital World


Audience Wide panels – in these panels we encourage the audience to take the active part. The wireless microphone will be shared with all those brave ones that would like to share their opinion and ask questions.

Mobile technology has gone a long way since the days when devices were produced unchecked, had a small number of capabilities and were of questionable quality. Such current and future devices are expected to revolutionize health care as we know it through mobile health. Not just enabling patients in remote places to get the health care they need, but also enabling everybody to get some treatments at home without visiting the physician’s office. This could allow the early release of specific patients from the hospital when the treatment and rehabilitation could be done at home under the remote care of the physician or practitioner while the data is being captured and included in the patient’s medical records. This may also revolutionize the existing overall model of the interaction of patients with their physicians and other health care practitioners.
In this session, the audience and the panelists will discuss the promises and the challenges of this emerging field.

This tutorial presents a way to identify the principle behind a solution. Through a process of clarifying the problem-solution relationship in technical writing, a better logic for the paper is built. A solid logic directly benefits the author(s) by making reviewers understand the contribution of the paper easily, leading to a higher acceptance rate. It is emphasized that the earlier mentioned clarification process to establish a solid logic often unveils a more general principle behind a solution, which may open a door to another research. Some examples to convince the audience support the value of technical writing.

Key point of each home-automation is to be controlled by a browser. Any browser. Plus – three levels:
Level 1. Connect sensors to computer
Level 2. Connect multiple computers to aggregating server
Level 3. Present data to end user via browser
This tutorial will talk about ways to achieve these three levels.

In this instructor-led workshop supported by NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI), you will explore the fundamentals of deep learning by training neural networks and using results to improve performance and capabilities. You’ll learn the basics of deep learning by training and deploying neural networks. Among other, you will be enabled to (1) implement common deep learning workflows, such as image classification and object detection; (2) experiment with data, training parameters, network structure, and other strategies to increase performance and capability; (3) deploy neural networks to start solving real-world problems. Upon completion, you’ll be able to start solving problems on your own with deep learning.
Each participant is awarded official NVIDIA DLI certificate of course completion.
