Venue and how to get there

The conference will take place on the IFA fair ground. Be sure to access it directly via the separate entrance of Hall 7 as this is the only entrance that is open early enough for the conference to start at 09:00 h. Detailed how-to-get-to information with the exact location is available here.

Important Note

After you are registered for the conference you will receive in the early days of September a separate e-mail with the registration codes which allow you to entry to the conference and to the IFA. Please, perform online activation and print out your tickets to get access to the conference building.

GOLD Event

Young Professionals, mark your calendar.

There will be a special event for Young Professionals on Monday evening ("GOLD event"). All participants and authors of the ICCE-Berlin that graduated within the last ten years, are very welcome to join this event. Invited speaker is Stefan Mozar, President of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society. We will close the evening with a visit to the Berlin TV-Tower. IFA Guided Tour TecWatch

During the ICCE-Berlin 2013 different tours will be offered, please see below. In order for us to plan accordingly, please let us know in the Registration Desk for which tour you would like to sign up.

1. Tecwatch (Monday 9.9. 13:00-14:00 or Tuesday 10.9. 13:00-14:00) IFA Hall 11.1 IFA TecWatch is unique in combining a specialist exhibition with a communication and business platform for demonstrating innovation. IFA TecWatch is an outstanding and valuable platform which facilitates a knowledge exchange among experts, a technology transfer within research and industry, and acts as a launch pad for successful business partnerships. It is also a very attractive shop window for technically interested visitors as well as for the retail trade, and enables them to prepare in good time for the new markets of the future. The exhibits covered a wide range of themes and included new display technologies and components, the 3-D and Super HD solutions of tomorrow, a combination of virtual and real worlds (augmented reality) and the „cloud”, a place where numerous new applications ranging from entertainment to services meet. IFA offers a guided tour to TecWatch. Main topic here will be „Smart Home and Ambient Assisted Living“ as well as „display technologies, Ultra HD and components“. 2. TiME Lab at Heinrich Hertz Institute will be on Tuesday 10th September at 18:00 o’clock (18:00 - 19:30). After the paper sessions, an excursion to the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, HHI TiME Lab - Tomorrow's immersive Media Experience Lab is scheduled. The TiME Lab offers a 180-degree, high-end panorama projection in 3D and 7xHD resolution combined with an outstanding sound system that allows audiences to virtually immerse themselves in the film's animation and sound worlds. http://www.timelab-hhi.com/upload
